Fairypants Cakes & Cocktails Vegan Lipbalms

Fairypants -  I love the name.
Fairypants is a home business started by Natalie Pierce - Jones. It started as a a dress making enterprise but has since expanded and now includes jewelry, vegan cosmetics and hair accessories. Natalie sent me one of her vegan lipbalms to review.

There are 8 scents to choose from in the Fairypants Cakes & Cocktails Vegan lipbalms. These are Strawberry Cheesecake, Key Lime Pie, Sticky Toffee Pudding, Banoffee Pie, Mojito, Raspberry Sambuca, Amaretto & Cola and Ice cream Soda. I am bit a foodie and when presented with the choices, "I had a rumbly in my tumbly" to quote Pooh Bear. lol  The  lipbalm in Mojito was my choice,  what can I say, I am an island girl ----> mint tea and rum all the way. Along with the lipbalms, I received some samples of the new artwork. For a moment (maybe 5 minutes) I thought they were stickers and I "might" have tried to get the stickers off the page.  lol lol lol I quite like the Mojito as a cocktail and especially with the great weather we have been having in the UK, that has been my chosen cocktail this summer.

Fairypants Cakes & Cocktails Mojito lipbalm

The Fairypants Cakes & Cocktails Mojito lipbalm comes in a little steel tin, similar to the sample tins at lush, which I twisted apart to reveal the product. When I opened the lipbalm the gorgeous scent was the first thing I noticed. Scented products should smell like what they say they smell like.

In terms of texture, the Fairypants Cakes & Cocktails Mojito lipbalm is quite smooth, which surprised me since the main ingredient is Shea butter. Unless Shea Butter is whipped it can be a bit waxy when applied, which has been my experience using other hair/ body products containing pure Shea Butter. When I applied the Fairypants Cakes & Cocktails Mojito lipbalm to my lips, I had moisture as well as shine and there was no waxy feeling on my lips. The Fairypants Cakes & Cocktails Mojito lipbalm goes on quite light unlike other lipbalms which can be heavy.

Another thing which I like about the The Fairypants Cakes & Cocktails Mojito lipbalm is the fact that it contains no petroleum. A girlfriend of mine cannot use petroleum based products and as a beauty blogger, it seems to be my job as the designated ingredients checker. lol lol

lipbalm applied to back of hand.

Packaging - Simple, easy to carry around, does not take up a lot of space in my makeup bag.
Product - Easy to use, moisturizes my lips well, and layers up under lipsticks.
Price - GREAT price point £3.99 for an handmade lipbalm is excellent.

Would I recommend? - Yes
Would I purchase? - Yes
Would I buy full priced? - Yes

Style File - ZARA leather bag with gold metal detail

Image 1 of LEATHER BAG WITH METAL TAB from Zara
ZARA Leather bag with metal tab

The fall pieces are coming into stores slowly slowly and there are a few things which have caught my eye. Knitwear, blazers, flats and this gorgeous bag pictured above.

The design and gold detail reminds me of  the YSL Cabas Chyc Cross body  tote bags. ZARA is really becoming a contender when it comes to affordable and fashionable handbags.  Of course the ZARA Braided Shopper holds a special place in my heart. However the sleek design, the gold detailing, the material  (100% cow Leather) and price (£109) of the Leather bag with metal tab (work on these names ZARA) are appealing to me. The dimensions of this bag are 15in x14in 7in, it is a fairly decent size, not too big or small.

I would recommend this bag for any young professional or recent graduate who is in need of a well made, sturdy (the ZARA bags are very well made) bag for every day use. As always please waterproof the leather (at least 3 times with 6 hour intervals between each time, before use), to protect the leather from water damage.

I see this bag being a best seller, so girlies if you like it, spend on it.
As for me I will be counting the sheckles, because I want one of these bag boys.
Happy Sunday my lovelies.

The Current Skincare Edit

Makeup Remover - Bioderma Crealine Micellar Solution

Eye Makeup Remover - Botanics Soothing Eye Makeup Remover

Cleanser morning - Neutrogena 2 in 1 Wash and Mask

Cleanser evening - Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm

Exfoliating toner - PIXI Glow Tonic

Hydrating toner - Botanics 100% Organic Rosewater Toning Spritz

Serum - Avene Soothing Hydrating serum

Day moisturiser - Origins GinZing Energy Boosting Moisturizer

Sunscreen - Nivea Sun spf 30 pocket size for face and body

Night Moisturiser - Botanics Hydrating Night Cream All Bright

Ideally I wanted the Ren Clarifying Clay Cleanser to use as my morning cleanser. However  I got tired of waiting to purchase it after waiting so long for the Emma Hardie (took nearly a month to come back into stock) and the PIXI glow Tonic (this was another palarva) I just went with what was the closet thing which was readily available. So far the Neutrogena  2 in 1 Wash/Wask has been working fine. I use it as a morning cleanser to refresh my face + neck. If I did not wear makeup during the day I will use it as my night time cleanser as well.

So far my little regimen has been going well, def since using the cleansing balm my skin has been a lot more plump and not as dry. I have been removing the cleansing balm in lines, "working with the grain of the skin in line with the facial muscles" similar to those of a facial for removing the cleansing balm from my skin in the evenings. In terms of draining the built up fluid I cannot see if that has worked to combat that or not. I can say that using the line method (opposed to rubbing circles) has def helped my chin area. There isn't as many  oily deposits around my chin area.  My skin likes the chemical exfoliation from the PIXI Glow Tonic, In terms of texture my skin is a lot smoother. In the future I would like to purchase the liquid gold and compare how the effects measure up.

These are just some thoughts off the top of my head.
I will do in depth reviews of the products soon,
beginning with the Emma Hardie Cleansing balm,
since I have been using that over a month .

b- beautiful my lovelies.

The shorter sleeved shirts would go great with my Zara Shorts, my work trousers and also as a layering piece under my navy suit. The longer sleeved shirts would look great on their own paired with either my Zara tulip skirt or my asymmetrical peplum skirt from Miss Selfridge. These are just a  few of the outfit combinations, I  have come up with off the top of my head.

Stay cool my lovelies.
